Stöten is situated next to the frontier between Norway and Sweden, and is a popular ski resort with a long history as a holiday destination.
Stöten meens steep mountain and the resort boast 30 downhill slopes, a 390 metre vertical drop and excellent conditions for cross country skiing. Stöten is family friendly and a part of a cluster of ski resorts, which together constitute Sälen, the largest winter sports area in Scandinavia.
